Pistol Training 2.0 teaches you how to train
You’ve got the basics down. You are comfortable shooting a gun and can make solid hits at reasonable ranges. Now it’s time to go beyond and begin the journey to expert.
Preparing for the next step
While this is mostly a shooting class, some classroom time is spent on the how and why of dry-fire practice and introduction to some tools to make it more effective. We'll discuss the importance of tracking your training, and also the value of incorporating competitive shooting into your training even if you don't want to compete.
Virtual Range
Our Virtual Range session involves more advanced drill shooting - moving targets, target transitions, and target discrimination. You'll learn how to incorporate the Virtual Range into your training, and finally try your hand at IDPA, Arkansas' own defensive shooting sport.
Live Fire Range
Once on the Outdoor Range, we will introduce you to shooting on the clock, and you will shoot several drills that you can use to improve for years to come. We will extend your engagement range, and help refine your shooting so you can confidently engage at longer distances or against smaller targets. Finally we will work on malfunction drills and what to do when things go wrong.
• Available as a scheduled class or for private instruction
• Must be 21+ to participate (18+ with Military Service)
• Ages 13-20 can participate with a parent
• requires eye and ear protection (electronic preferred)
• bring a gun with at least two magazines
• 200 rounds of ammo (range ammo is preferred)
• An outside-the-waistband holster and mag carrier
• Guns & Holsters available for rent (additional charge)
cost per person $150
3 person minimum for private classes
this course is not intended for new shooters – you should be able to confidently engage a target at 15 yards prior to taking this course
