Intro to Competition Shooting
Have Fun while doing your best training
Regular training is key to building and maintaining your shooting skills, and competitive shooting allows you to have a great time while doing some of the best practice around.
learn about competition options
There are a wide variety of competitive shooting options available in the NWA area and our classroom session will cover the basics of most of them. We will also discuss competition guns and the equipment divisions in each sport.
Virtual Range
Our Virtual Range is the star of this session as you will get to shoot stages from IDPA, Steel Challenge, and USPSA while discussing rules and strategy for each, and experience shooting under time constraints.
Live Fire Range
On the Outdoor Range, we will shoot a mock Steel Challenge stage along with a series of drills pulled from IDPA and USPSA-style matches. You will shoot on the clock, move and shoot, and shoot from improvised positions. We will also discuss scoring and some of the differences between these sports.
